Recultivation and revitalization

Locality: sandpit Krčmaň - continuous recultivation of the mining area

Revitalization: the flooded area of the sand pit together with the trimmed bank vegetation and the littoral zone will be taken into the local territorial system of the ecological stability as an interactive component which will connect the old sand pit with the local bio-corridor.

Technical recultivation : ground works combined with correction of the reverse flanks of the mined out area and creating the bank line including the littoral zone.

Biological recultivation:  outplanting of the domestic sorts of timber and grass species according to the local biotope, fish culture.

Locality: sandpit Mušlov - recultivation of the mined-out sandpit.

Revitalization: The northern part of the sandpit – creation of a local biocentre.

Technical recultivation : In the northern part of the mined-out area was created a gradual flank to the excavated water pool, one mining wall preserved as geological profile. The southern part of the sandpit was brought back to the original configuration of the landscape. .

Biological recultivation: there is outplanting of the autochthonic timber species (trees and bushes) with slow succession of the xerophilic in the south part there is extinguishment of the ruderal vegetation - preparation for the restoration of field cultures plant types in the bio-centre cultures.

Locality: Sandpit Troskotovice - recultivation of the mined out borrow pit.

Revitalization: a local bio-centre was created on the area of 3 hectares and incorporated into the ÚSES and on the area of another 7 hectares restoration to ZPF.

Technical recultivation: partly kept mining flanks and sand-stone rockworks, thus retaining the geological profile. On the platform under the flank there was a wetland created on the clayey consolidated foundation. In one part of the borrow pit the ground was brought back to ZPF, the mining area was brought into the original configuration of the terrain.

Biological recultivation: bio-centre: outplanting of the autochthonic timber species on the perimeter of the bio-centre, outside of the centre - outplanting of the trees in clamps or solitaire. Area brought back to ZPF - restoration of field cultures
